Najibullah: Afghanistans Gamechanger

Najibullah Zadran announced himself on the Asia Cup stage with a whirlwind innings that will talked about for a long time.

Afghanistan had started the day well by restricting the Bangladeshi batters to just 127 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

However, the chase wasn't a smooth one as the Bangladeshi bowlers had a stranglehold on the batters and it seemed like they were closing in on the win.

Afghanistan were in real trouble as they needed more than 60 runs in the last six overs. However, Najibullah had other plans.

The left-handed batter and Ibrahim Zadran blew away the Bangladeshi bowlers with the former smashing them all over the park.

Najibullah scored a 17-ball 43 and remained unbeaten as Afghanistan got over the line. His innings consisted of one boundary and six sixes.

With the win, Afghanistan were the first team to enter the Super Four stage. Najibullah will surely be a trump card for the team moving forward.
