August 18, 2022 marks the 14th anniversary of Virat Kohli's debut in international cricket

Kohli made his debut for the Indian cricket team back in 2008 at Dambulla in an ODI match against Sri Lanka

Kohli only managed to score 12 runs that day and was dismissed by Nuwan Kulasekara

Since then, Kohli has cemented himself as one of the modern-day greats of the sport

In his 14-year-long career, Virat Kohli has owned the ODI format by managing to shatter records one after another

The 33-year-old has won ODI World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013 in the ODI format

Kohli has scored 12344 runs in 262 ODIs and scored 43 hundreds as well since making his debut in 2008

33-year-old Virat Kohli is currently placed sixth on the list of batters to have scored the most runs in ODIs

Kohli is also India’s second leading run-scorer in the ODI format behind Sachin Tendulkar
